It’s been a blur.
How did we get here? My week was full of writing, researching, interviewing, cooking and ‘step-parenting’. I’ve realised that because my work looks different to most people, and I work most weekends, I forget to take a day off.
Someone asked me on Instagram stories yesterday what 3 things I do for myself and ‘rest’ was one of my answers. I think it’s high time for me to walk the talk and allow myself to chill. So that’s exactly where you’ll find me today!

BEST: I started at a new F45 gym this week! Ohhh how I’ve missed it! I tried another gym near me, but I swear I have exercise PTSD (is that a thing?) from my Netball pre-seasons. Now I refuse to do any exercise that feels like punishment, so it’s back to my favourite style of circuit training and it feels GOOD!!
WORST: I’m feeling a bit worn out. I need to prioritise myself a little more and remember that just because I love my work - it’s still work! Same goes for home life. Resting today is going to be bliss!

If you’ve not read her article, it’s the perfect piece of escapism - even if you don’t buy anything, her writing had me in stitches. This line got me good:

She’s a dag, but golly is she full of knowledge. I cannot fault a single recommendation she’s given me and I’m so grateful with the coin she’s saved me too. All without compromising my vanity - what a win!
