Issue #66 | Easy One Pot Lasagne, My yellow maxi dress (under $50 on sale!), A quote to help you Get It Done, and one of my favourite books (it changed the way I saw the world)
Plus, we're on our way to BALI!!!!!!
What a whirlwind the past week was!
Since last Friday there's been Easter, a quick stint doing the weather, a 1 Year Anniversary and today we're on our way to Bali!!!
And next week, I'll be writing to you a whole year older (and wiser).
How was your Easter? Did you get away or bunker down at home?
Just yesterday I got one more delivery of Joey's Hot Cross Buns, and not to be controversial, buuuuut I think we need to petition them to be a year-round thing. Did you try her recipe?
My pants might be tighter post-Easter. But with a full belly comes a very full heart. Worth it.
Enough about last week, let's get into issue #66. Today I'm sharing:
A quote about doing what you can
A book that had a profound effect on me (and was written in 1903)
A dress I bought for Bali! (Under $40, down from $375!)
And, my first Lasagne! It's easy and made in one pot. YUM!
Have the best Friday!
“Something is better than nothing”
I repeat this to myself weekly, if not daily.
I use this mantra a lot when it comes to exercise, especially when my motivation is waning.
It's my way of keeping momentum. I'd rather take half a step forward than no step at all.
That means sometimes a workout for me is a walk, a 20min bodyweight session, or a 15min run. But as long as I've tried, I'm ok with that.
I have a standard and a goal for myself to workout 6 days a week. I don't have a standard around the quality, intensity or durations. But I must try.
Not trying to me is the failure, not the actual outcome of the workout.
So I show up again and again with consistency.
And every single time my motivation returns (because it always does) I'm so grateful for the version of me that kept trying when she didn't want to. It's easier to keep going when you never come to a full stop, no matter how slowly you move forward.
