Issue #62 | Easy & Healthy Chicken Yiros (I make these every week!), The Power of Women (for IWD!), The comfiest Red Jumper, and a fun novel I'm reading.
And I'm moving FOR REAL this weekend. Pray for me.
Happy International Women's Day!
My quote this week is dedicated to the strong, beautiful women in my life…and spoiler alert - that's 99% of you!
I'm writing this note right up to my deadline this morning so it's straight off the press. Nothing like a 4:25am alarm.
That's not a complaint - it's my choice. I took extra time yesterday to prepare for a Social Media workshop I ran last night.
I was lucky enough to hang out with the crew from Foods For Life at their cafe in Gawler Place last night to teach them all things marketing and social media. It was super fun! (Their food and health store is also incredible - another sneaky recommendation!)
But now it's time for Issue #62! And today I'm sharing:
A quote for International Women's Day
A book compared to Gossip Girl and Made in Chelsea
My new favourite jumper from a local family business
One of our favourite dinner meals we make EVERY week
Thanks as always for reading! Have a beautiful Friday!
“You can always tell who the strong women are They are the ones you see building one another up instead of tearing each other down."
Not to state the obvious, but women are incredible.
As a kid I was blissfully unaware of the hardships women face. From to career to motherhood to home expectations. We shoulder so much and continue to carry on - there's never been an alternative.
In the past, Women have been seen as the weaker sex. We're more open, emotional and prepared to be vulnerable. Which can be confused for weakness.
In recent years we've seen the rise in vulnerability as a superpower, a connector, a strength. Men have been praised for opening up. But we, as women have known this power for years.
Our strength lies in our ability to feel, care and express our emotions.
Now as we see more women in power it's brilliant to see the rise in women supporting each other. I love nothing more than seeing women build each other up. To be honest, I love to see us build anyone up. But there's something special when women do it to each other.
We're stronger together.
P.S. I've created this print in 6 different colourways for you. Click to see them :) Happy International Women's Day!
