Issue #61 | Healthy Banana Bread, LIFE-CHANGING mental-load cards for couples, A quote about goals & excitement, plus the best primer and BB cream (under $20!)
And we're into a new month! Hello March!
Happy Friday! Let's do a little check in.
If you care to share, tell me…
The best thing to happen to you this week
The funniest thing that happened this week
And something you learnt from this week?
I'll go first!
BEST: We booked our Bali accommodation! And it was thanks to a recommendation, so thank you to everyone that got in touch last week!
FUNNIEST: This wasn't the funniest ‘haha’, but more strange/interesting/crazy - I drove across the city, sat in a car and waited (stalked?) 6hrs for a footy player…and then didn't even speak to him. LOL! Isn't that nuts? All part of the job :) (I was working, not being a creep)
LEARNT: That ‘this too shall pass’. I was suuuuper flat at the start of the week, but by focusing on my mindset, physical health and talking to Josh, I felt good again by Wednesday :)
Rightyo! It's time for Issue #61! And today I'm sharing:
A quote with a great formula for life
The cards Josh and I are using to stay in the honeymoon phase after moving in together
The two beauty products that make me glow and save me dough
The lunchbox friendly Banana Bread that's keeping me out of timeout
Thanks as always for reading! Have a beautiful Friday!
“You need goals that give you goosebumps. Friends that give you energy. Lovers that give you butterflies. And a mission that makes it impossible to sleep, and irresistible to wake up. It feels like fireworks inside your mind. So, use excitement as a compass. It shows you exactly where to go."
This feels like a good formula for life, doesn't it?
I am a very feelings-based person. It's how I make 90% of my decisions (I don't know if that's a good thing sometimes!) I find it really hard to do something just because I “should” or just because it makes sense on paper. If it doesn't feel right, I can't do it.
As the quote says, I use excitement and my gut-feeling as a compass. For example…
My best friends leave me feeling full of energy. Usually after crying tears of laughter.
I get butterflies on the daily from Josh (the honeymoon phase is great, isn't it?)
And writing this newsletter is one of the things that gives me fireworks in my mind! I love the creativity and connection.
I hope when you reflect on this quote you feel the same way. And if not, perhaps it's a gentle nudge to start moving towards the things that do excite you? It's something we can all have. Start small and listen to the people/hobbies/actions that make you feel good. Then keep doing them. You deserve to feel good :)
