Issue #60 | The easiest (& comforting) oat choc chip cookies, a quote about growing stronger,
And big news...I'm moving in with Josh!
As I write this, I'm truly gobsmacked that it's Friday.
Life has really sped up, hasn't it? (Geez, I sound old)
I've been hunkering down working between my content marketing clients, personal work and Channel 7. It's a juggle, but I love the variety.
We also booked flights to Bali this week for my birthday, so that's a massive highlight! We're thinking of staying in Seminyak - so PLEASE send me accommodation recommendations. Josh and I cannot make a decision to save ourselves! It's just the two of us, and we want a good pool and a bit of a vibe (but not party). Hit me with your recs please!
Ok, let's get into Issue #60! Today I'm sharing:
A quote about getting stronger
A ‘show’ I wait for every week
The earrings I love that cost less than $20
The cookies that feel like a warm hug
Thanks for reading! Have the best Friday!
“You never get stronger if you only do easy things"
Don't you wish the opposite was true? I do.
I would happily live on easy street, drive straight past struggle town and live in my happy little bubble forever.
But it's not real life. We have to do hard things. It's actually what makes life better, and dare I say it, sweeter.
I've shared previously about ‘choosing your hard’ and saw a great instagram post by author and Kindness Factory founder Kath Koschel (@kathkoschel) this week. It had two columns both titled ‘Hard’ - and showed two opposing statements. Here's some examples:
Losing weight is hard / Being overweight is hard
Being single is hard / Being in a relationship is hard
Quitting your job is hard / Working for a company you don't like is hard
Starting your own business is hard / Working for someone else is hard
It takes courage, but doing the hard thing will make your life better every time.
I hope this quote serves as a little reminder for you today. If you're putting off the conversation, the workout or the tough task - move through the hard thing. It'll amaze you how easy things feel afterwards.
