It's already the weekend!

To say Australia Day has changed a lot over the years would be an understatement.

Back in my youth the morning would be spent getting killed at pre-season netty training (we used to run over 10km a session when a court is only 30m long - don't get me started) and then head to a Hottest 100 BBQ.

Today, I forgot it was even a Public Holiday!

With the push for a date change, I'm not the most educated in this space - but I support what brings peace and positive change to our Indigenous people.

Now it's time for some fun, fashion and inspo :)

Today we hit Issue #56, and in it I'm sharing:

  • A quote about going after what you want

  • A movie I saw in an actual cinema

  • A flattering dress in my favourite colour

  • A recipe I made up myself (don't let that put you off)

Happy reading!

“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place."

This is a lesson I resisted for years.

I was always fearful of rejection. Of putting people out. Of making others uncomfortable. Of looking like I had a ‘big head’.

My motto was “if someone wanted me for the job/opportunity/invitation, they'd ask” How ironic, that I thought it was ok for others to ask something of me, but I wouldn't do the same for myself.

So I made myself small, never asked for anything and expected everything I'd ever dreamed of to just magically find it's way to me.

I'm all for letting things flow, but you have to do some of the work yourself. The things that we fear are generally the things we need to do, in order to progress forward. It sucks, but it's worth it.

What is fear currently stopping you from doing?
