Issue #42 | Healthy-ish Choc Chip Tahini Cookies, classic black sunnies (under $70), a quote about risk & a book about ONE thing to make you successful.
Plus it's Fashion Week and I'm working like crazy!
Everyone I speak to (me included) seems to be run off their feet.
Is it just this time of year? Or are we trying to pack more into our already full lives? Let me know if you have the answer!
Whatever your week entailed, I hope this email finds you happy, healthy and excited for a lovely weekend ahead.
Today it is Issue #42 of The List, and in it I'm sharing:
A quote I loved about the win/risk juggle
A book about goals and focus that I'm listening to
A hip-pocket friendly pair of sunnies
Ugly cookies
Have a beautiful Friday!
"Big wins tend to be accompanied by some combination of bigger decisions, more uncertainty, and greater risk. If you want to play at a higher level, you need to be comfortable with greater swings of highs and lows: mentally, emotionally, financially. You can avoid the swings, but you might be forced to play at a lower level."
This has been something on my mind lately.
I've written a fair bit about comfort zones. Like most people, I find it really hard going beyond my current level and doing something new. Luckily for me, there's a stronger part of me that wants to grow and see what I'm capable of.
It doesn't come without feeling vulnerable, fearful and exposed. But like this quote says, with big rewards comes big risks. You just have to be willing to take them.
