Issue #33 | I'm in NZ!! Lamb & Feta Meatballs, The warmest winter coat, A show with the prettiest homes I've ever seen & a quote about being an enthusiast in your own life.
I took a break from skiing to bring you this issue :)
I'm writing to you from Wanaka, New Zealand!
Josh and I are just over halfway through our holiday and loving every second of being in NZ.
The scenery here is unbelievable. We keep thinking we're in a movie. We've been skiing, went hot and cold plunging between a ‘secret sauna’ and the icy cold (sooo cold) lake, and today we're off hiking!
Don't worry, there's been plenty of food, drink and indulgence in between the energetic activities. All about that balance!
Nevertheless, The List doesn't rest, so let's get into Issue #33!
Today I'm sharing:
A quote about being an enthusiast
A TV show that feels like a hug
The one item I've worn daily for a week
An easy dinner recipe that will blow your mind
Have an amazing Friday!
“I began to realise how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. He taught me that if you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good.”
This quote appeals to me so much. We can limit ourselves when there's something we really want -whether it be career, relationships or goals - in the fear of not getting what we want. We are cautious of the outcome just incase we are disappointed. When we let fear take over we stunt momentum. But when we allow ourselves to be excited and follow how we truly feel in the moment, it's easier to accept the outcome knowing we went all in. I've also come to realise there's no way of avoiding disappointment, even if we tell ourselves we ‘don't care’. It's unavoidable so we may as well enjoy the ride.
