Issue #114 | Mum's Famous Waffles, The Show We're Bingeing, My Black Denim Jacket & A Nice Reminder đđ˝
Plus, it's the long weekend!
This was my face when I remembered it was a long weekend!
What have you got planned? Are you going away?
I have to work on the Sunday which puts a halt on any plans to get away but weâve still got some loose, fun plans.
Now Iâm a seasoned mountain biker (proof below) we might go for the longer ride to the beach we were planning to do a few weeks ago (when it ended up being 40 degrees!). A date night is also on the cards, along with a drive, the gym and hopefully a few naps thrown in for good measure. I canât wait!
I also wanted to highlight some of the epic recipes from The List Iâve made this week that have knocked everyones socks off at home, even though itâs not their first time having them.
On Sunday I had some 1:1 time with Joshâs eldest and her #1 request was to âCook Cookies!â. This Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe never fails (Womenâs Weekly for the win!). We had heaps of fun making them and the cookies were mouthwateringly good. So much so that Joshâs sweet tooth didnât stand a chance and 35 cookies were polished off in 3 days.
Every Monday night in our house is âSushi Bowl Night!â because the girls and Josh love them, and I love that theyâre healthy. Itâs also nice to have little traditions - one for memories but 2 it saves me having to decide whatâs for dinner.
On Tuesday I worked from home and whipped up âChrissie Swanâs Slow Cooked Lamb Shoulderâ and it melted in our mouths. Josh and I made toasted sangas with the leftovers and I think that was even better than our original meal. I highly recommend using focaccia!
For dessert on Tuesday I made âGeorgiaâs Mumâs Brownieâ because it is one of the lowest effort-highest reward recipes in my archives. Geez itâs good. if youâve not made it â please do yourself a favour. Serve it warm with a little bit of ice-cream to take it to the next level.
And last night I made the âSmash Dumpling Tacosâ again. Ohhh theyâre so so so delicious, easy and fun for something different.
I hope that inspires you to get in the kitchen this weekend. All of the recipes are lazy-girl approved!
Letâs get into Issue #114 of The List, today Iâm sharing:
A quote to remind you of something important
A TV show Josh and I are watching and loving
The new Black Denim Jacket Iâm wearing on repeat
And Mumâs Famous Waffles that everyone loves (you can make them as pancakes too!)
Have the happiest Friday!
